I studied the 100 mile course and elevation. The race has a few steep ascents and decents. The notable ascents are from CP2, CP7, and CP10, while the decents are towards CP3 and CP6. In fact, the decents look so steep from the elevation profile that I was rather worried since I was not good at running downhill at all. I had also determined from the drop bag stations that I need a new set of shoes at CP8, CP11 and CP13. Hope that is sufficient for me to complete my 1st ever 100 mile race within 28 hours if possible. Otherwise, I aim to complete within the official cut-off time of 30 hours. Wish me luck!
